A digital terrain model is necessary in order to create it.

Aerophotogrametry


The elements found in nature can be represented geometrically through vectors (two points allow to form a vector, lines or polygons). Aerophotogrametry allows measuring the size of a given surface metrically. This is done with drones that register multiple overlapped photos of the terrain allowing the creation of a dense cloud of points enough to build the georeferenced mosaic and contour lines.
